The hotel is in a lovely setting with beautiful public footpaths straight from the car park, ideal for a short or long walk. The rooms are comfy, clean, and well furnished, although a bit tight on space for relaxation. The staff was incredibly accommodating, even during the challenging time of the Queen's funeral. The location is just about perfect for a wedding, being semi-rural, and also convenient for exploring the scenic area. The dining options were decent, with hot beef/ham sandwiches being a hit. However, the plates did not retain heat well. Overall, a great location with some minor room concerns.

The rooms are comfy, clean, and well furnished but a bit limited in space for relaxation. They did creak a bit, giving away movement inside.

The staff simply couldn't do enough for us and deserve a top rating. Despite some minor issues like getting reprimanded for wearing jeans, the service was exceptional.

The location is beautiful with easy access to public footpaths, perfect for walks of all lengths. It's also a great base for exploring the surrounding areas for outdoor activities and scenic spots.
